Books of Note from the Past Week

Brave and the Bold #3 was amazingly massive fun. If you're a DC continuity-whore, or you simply enjoy fun superhero comics, you should pick this up. The snappy patter between characters, as well as the great characters who pop up (this issue...the Fatal Five AND the Lord of Time!!!), are simply fantastic.

Also, I want to warn people off of Mighty Avengers #2. I'm giving it another issue or so, but this issue...well, aside from some fun moments with Ares, it tells us absolutely nothing we didn't already know.

Also, Birds of Prey #105 is worth it. It's the Birds vs. the Secret Six, all written by Gail Simone, making it sheer awesome.

52 #50...if you haven't been reading this before now, you shouldn't start here. One of the weaker issues...but then, every climactic issue's been like that.

Lastly, I reread Justice League Elite this week, which was a fun enough book. Good guys with feet of clay, REALLY bad bad guys, stuff like that...plus Doug Mahnke's fantastic art. Check it out.

A Little Bit About Things

So this is my first blog post, and anybody reading this...I'm sorry for any unimaginativity I might use. But...I'm a comic geek. I know. Real original blog, huh? I don't think I have much to offer, but I'll try to review stuff semi-regularly, including my weekly comic intake.

The kind of comics I enjoy include Justice League of America, All-New Atom, All-Star Superman, 100 Bullets, Loveless, Crossing Midnight, The Exterminators, Welcome to Tranquility, Astro City, Impaler, Rex Mundi, and Brubaker's Daredevil. Sure, there's more...

Anyways, next week, I'll begin proper reviews. Thanks for reading!
